Fatal accident at Bowning

BREAKING: A woman has died following a crash between three vehicles at Bowning today.
About 12pm a small sedan collided with two oncoming cars on Lachlan Valley Way, 5km west of the Hume Highway.
A 26-year-old woman driving the small sedan died at the scene.
The two other drivers – both men – were taken to Yass Hospital for minor injuries and mandatory blood and urine testing.
Detectives from the Hume Local Area Command are investigating and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
Lachlan Valley Way remains closed at this time.

This fatality is the eighth since Operation Arrive Alive was launched for the festive season.
As part of Operation Arrive Alive, double demerit points will apply for speeding, mobile phone use, seatbelt and helmet use.
Double demerits will apply from December 24 to January 3, 2016 and from January 22-26 inclusive.
